Honey Princess

My name is Oceanna, and I am the 2026 American Honey Princess. I am from Texas, and I am a 2025 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Plant Biology. While at UTSA, I conducted research on the medicinal properties of honey and on honeybee behavior during the 2023 and 2024 solar eclipses. I am also a founding officer of the Honeycomb Connection, a student organization dedicated to promoting honeybee education and medical honey research. I plan to pursue a career in dentistry. In my free time, I enjoy lacemaking, gardening, and painting.

As the American Honey Princess, I travel across the country to teach students, 4-H groups, and fair-goers about the importance of honeybees and pollination in our everyday lives. I also attend many different events such as fairs, festivals, and farmers markets and have interviews with tv, radio, and newspapers. To find out if the American Honey Queen or Princess can visit your school or community, please visit the American Beekeeping Federation website.
